The archaic Ṛgvedic dual for the two Phalgunīs. The dual arjunyoḥ occurs only here in the Ṛgveda (other forms of arjuna in the RV are the ordinary adjective 'bright/white'). Macdonell & Keith, Vedic Index (1912) i.36: 'Arjuni is, in the Rigveda, the name of the Naksatra ("lunar mansion"), elsewhere called Phalguni. It occurs in the marriage hymn, with Agha for Magha, and, like that word, is apparently a deliberate modification.' AV 14.1.13 has the normalised Phalgunī.
