[Paraphrase of TB 1.5.1.1] The Krittikas are Agni's; brightness above, light below. Rohini is Prajapati's; the waters above, the plants below. The Invakas are Soma's; things spread out above, the weavers below. The Bahu (the two Arms) are Rudra's; hunters above, ... below. The two Punarvasus are Aditi's; wind above, moisture below. In the Taittirīya tradition Soma's nakshatra is called Invakā where other lists have Mṛgaśīrṣa: TB 1.5.1.1 'somasyenvakā', and TB 3.1.4.3 invokes Mṛgaśīrṣa and the Invakās side by side in the same offering, proving the equation.
