'That of Mahendra/Indra' = JYEṢṬHĀ, whose regent is Indra. From Parāśara's vīthī list quoted by Utpala on BS 9.4: 'ājī maitram aindrāgnyadhipam maindram' — the Ājī consists of Maitra (Anurādhā), the asterism whose lords are Indrāgnī (Viśākhā), and Maindra (Jyeṣṭhā). Order within the triad fixes the referent. Utpala confirms the deity at BS 97.5: 'śakra indro jyeṣṭhāyāḥ'. Related to the Aindra that Brahmagupta uses for Jyeṣṭhā (already noted in the database's 'agneya' entry) but a distinct vṛddhi form. Confidence 'likely' rather than 'certain' because the scans differ slightly on the compound: Krishna Chandra Dvivedi मैत्रमिन्द्रागन्यधिपमैन्द्रम्, Achyuta Nand Jha मैत्रमैन्द्रागन्यधिपमैन्द्रम् — both end in -maindram, but the internal division is not perfectly secure in an OCR text.
