Only glyph-level OCR artifacts that all three scans show to be artifacts (e.g. OCR रद्वव for रद्गव, श्व for श्च) have been normalised; every substantive reading is as scanned, and the two places where the scans genuinely differ are flagged in identification_notes.
'That of Svayambhū (Brahmā)' = ROHIṆĪ. From the Samāsa-saṃhitā quoted by Utpala on BS 9.4: 'svāyambhuva-tribhāḥ syur gaja-vīthy airāvatī vṛṣabhā' — the triads beginning with Svāyambhuva are the Gaja-vīthī, Airāvatī and Vṛṣabhā. That is verbatim the structure Utpala spells out for Varāhamihira's 'paitāmahāt tribhās tisraḥ' at BS 9.2, where he glosses Paitāmaha as Rohiṇī — so Svāyambhuva = Paitāmaha = Rohiṇī. Same name-collision family as Prājeśa/Paitāmaha/Prājāpatya: these all denote Rohiṇī = Aldebaran, NOT the star Prajāpati (δ Aurigae) of Sūrya-siddhānta 8.
